Purpose of Training at Texas Air Corps

To prepare those who feel called to full time missions aviation with practical training in flight, working as a team, developing an attitude of servanthood in a remote ministry location. Our goal is to produce pilots who are competent in skills of aviation so they can serve safely and effectively in remote areas. In addition, through ministry experience at TAC and mentoring we are working to develop our students to be missionaries that have an attitude of service, resilience, teamwork, faith and perseverance.

Our Expectation for Students

  • A growing knowledge of God’s word through personal Bible study and possibly formal Bible training

  • A growing  maturity and responsibility in ministry at their home church

  • A vibrant spiritual life that demonstrates the discipline necessary to sustain it

  • Experience in evangelism and discipleship

  • An idea of where they are called to go, with support and affirmation of their home church

  • Students must understand that the devotions and any biblical instruction will be according to the doctrinal statement of TAC, and students are not permitted to propagate any views doctrinally that conflict with the doctrinal statement of our ministry.

  • Experience in aviation, as well as having written exams passed for the rating the student will be working towards

  • A willingness to serve in practical ways

Expectation for Volunteers

Texas Air Corps is a non-profit organization which is kept going with the assistance of volunteers who come along side our full time missionaries to facilitate the training of missionary pilots.

We look for those with a heart of service, a desire to see the gospel spread, and a willingness to mentor missionaries in training. Our desire is to have partners volunteer with us sharing their skills and experience to help our organization function. We seek those who are willing to jump in and serve with any project going on.

If you are interested in volunteering at Texas Air Corps, please email us at info@texasaircorps.org. Please include information about how you would like to serve and your availability. Someone from TAC will be in contact soon.

Volunteer Needs:

Since Texas Air Corps is still working on bringing the vision to life, we are in need of help as we expand this ministry.

Ways you can help us:

  • Construction – as we expand and bring in new students, staff, and airplanes we will need to build more buildings. If you are skilled in construction, plumbing, or electrical work then we have projects for you.
  • Flight Instructors – having more students, means we need more instructors to train. If you have your CFI or CFII, we would love to have you join us. Whether that is for a week, a month, or a whole season.
  • Mechanics – more flying means more maintenance on airplanes. Whether that is 100 hour inspections, annual inspections, or repair work, if you have your A&P or IA, we would love your help.
  • Facilities – our ten acre property requires maintaining. Whether that is mowing the airfield, washing airplanes, or repairing things when they break.

If you have a skill that you want to use to serve the Lord, please contact us at info@texasaircorps.org. Someone from TAC will be in contact shortly.
